HxA Conference
Heterodox Academy is thrilled to announce that the 2024 Heterodox Academy Conference will take place June 6-8 in the vibrant city of Chicago – home to a rich intellectual history of open inquiry and academic freedom.
With winds of change blowing in higher education, we’ll convene in the Windy City to explore what comes next for open inquiry, viewpoint diversity, and constructive disagreement in the academy. With wide-ranging perspectives, rigorous new scholarship, and practical tools for change, this won’t be an HxA Conference to miss!

As always, Heterodox Academy members receive a significant discount on registration fees for the conference — and membership is free! If you are not a member, it will say so at the top of this email. The HxA Conference Cancellation and Refund Policy is as follows:
Conference registrations are non-transferrable
Cancellations must be made in writing and sent to events@heterodoxacademy.org
Cancellations made before May 6 are subject to a $50 refund fee
Cancellations made after May 6 are not eligible to be refunded
Propose a Session for the HxA Conference
Heterodox Academy invites proposed sessions for the 2024 HxA Conference. Please read the full Call For Proposals document prior to submitting.
Submissions due by January 31, 2024.
Book your lodging at the conference venue for the discounted rate of $289+ for single/double occupancy. The deadline to make reservations at the conference rate is Tuesday, May 14, 2024.

Modifying or Canceling Your Reservation:
You can modify or cancel your reservation on the reservations page until three days before arrival.
Please contact the hotel at 1-877-303-0104 for changes within five days of arrival.

The hotel is 15 miles from Chicago O’Hare International Airport and 12 miles from Chicago Midway International Airport
Conference attendees have access to a discounted self-parking rate of $29
