Member Conversations: DEI on Campus
Since the killing of George Floyd universities and colleges have been called upon by students, alumni, and faculty to take a proactive approach to improve diversity, equity and inclusion on campuses. In response a number of institutions of higher learning have instituted new DEI initiatives including diversity and anti-racist trainings. As part of our commitment to the HxA community, we provided space for our members and graduate affiliates to gather and have informal discussions about DEI programs at their institutions. We welcomed frank conversations about the different kinds of initiatives as well as the pros and cons of different approaches.
We held the same conversation twice: on Tuesday, March 2 at 5:30pm ET and on Wednesday, March 3 at 1pm ET.
Space for these offerings was limited to keep the conversations accessible and ensure that all points of view are heard.
NOTE: This event was only open to HxA members and graduate affiliates.
