Our work focuses on situations and subjects that are often complex and nuanced so we encourage everyone — new members and longtime supporters — to start the year by digging a little deeper into our frameworks and tools. We encourage you to make connections and take action in your local context to help HxA, other members, and people in your communities to improve the quality of education and research in universities.
Because we are a small organization, you are essential to making lasting changes in the academy. As you work through this guide, please let us know how things are going. If you display the HxA Way poster on campus; host a meeting with a small group of colleagues to have an open, heterodox-friendly discussion; use HxA resources or videos in your classroom – please tell us about it. We want to hear from you.
And as we learn of your achievements (big and small), we’ll share them with the rest of the community to highlight the great work being done. We look forward to a year filled with small but meaningful steps towards a more heterodox academy.
If you have any questions, please reach out to us at membership@heterodoxacademy.org.
