The need for open inquiry, viewpoint diversity, and constructive disagreement in intellectual institutions is not limited to the United States or to English-speaking countries. People from all around the globe can benefit from respectful engagement across lines of difference. With over 1,200 international members across 65 countries, HxA is working to advocate for these important values at educational institutions around the world.

That’s why, in the name of robust intellectual exchange everywhere, we’re excited to share five new translations of The HxA Way.

The HxA Way is our foundational set of norms and values that fosters respectful, robust, and constructive engagement across lines of difference. All of our members embrace The HxA Way, and we encourage all those engaging in civil dialogue and debate to do the same.

Download and print one or all of the versions, hang them in your office, incorporate them into your language class, share them with your students, and more. If you’d like to suggest a translation in a language we have not yet offered, please email us at questions@heterodoxacademy.org
