Heterodox Academy to Host 3rd Annual Conference to Renew Trust in Universities
New York, NY (May 9, 2022) — Heterodox Academy (HxA), a New York-based nonpartisan nonprofit with a membership of more than 5,400 higher-education faculty, administrators and students, will convene thought leaders in June to address the decline of public trust in higher education institutions.
The event will take place in Denver at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, June 12–14, and will host more than 450 professors, administrators, students, community leaders, philanthropists, and others.
The HxA conference program features four plenary sessions and more than 30 concurrent panels. Speakers include Jonathan Haidt (NYU, HxA Co-Founder and Board Chair), John McWhorter (Columbia University), Lynn Pasquerella (American Association of Colleges and Universities), Matthew Yglesias (Vox.com), Batya Ungar-Sargon (Newsweek), and more.
"We are excited to bring together so many scholars and thinkers at HxA Conference 2022 this June. These are people who love our colleges and universities, and want to improve them,” said Kyle Vitale, Heterodox Academy’s director of programs. “It promises to be an energizing event — one of the largest ever concentrated meetings of higher-ed stakeholders committed to moving from ‘cancel culture’ to a campus environment that embraces open inquiry, viewpoint diversity, and constructive disagreement.”
The 60+ speakers and 450+ attendees represent a wide range of perspectives and disciplines and hail from institutions across the United States and Canada.
