Eric Silver
Professor of Sociology and Criminology, Penn State UniversityEric Silver is professor of sociology and criminology at Penn State University where he has worked for 25 years. He teaches a large course on the philosophy and science of morality called Knowing Right from Wrong with over 700 students enrolled each semester. His research focuses on morality, public opinion, crime, social control, criminal justice, racial attitudes, and patriotism. He’s written two books and over 60 peer-reviewed articles and received awards for both his research and teaching.
