Michigan State University

The MSU HxA community aims to encourage on campus the classical liberal values of open inquiry, freedom of expression, and the rights and responsibilities of the individual.
We are a non-partisan group of faculty and staff aligned with the HxA principles of civil discourse and collegial association. While our campus is moving in a better direction regarding these principles, there remain concerns about the rights of individuals being impinged upon through actions that challenge classically liberal values such as freedom of expression, individual autonomy, and open inquiry.
With open dialogue to foster understanding and respectful disagreement, we aim to help our campus become a haven for academic freedom and scholarly independence. We share a commitment to exchanging perspectives, with the collective goal of sharpening our own thinking and bringing openness and trust to our campus culture.
Meet the leaders building the Michigan State Campus Community.
