The HxA Campus Community at Northwestern University is committed to promoting vigorous, tolerant, and excellent intellectual inquiry on campus and to fostering the virtues necessary for such inquiry.

Northwestern University has acquired a reputation for failing to promote a culture of free expression, ranking in the bottom 10 of the 248 colleges ranked in FIRE’s 2024 College Free Speech Rankings. Our Campus Community consists of Northwestern faculty and students working together to improve the climate on campus by providing a venue for discussions of the complicated and vexing issues that currently face our campus and the country. We hold both regular, informal get togethers off-campus as well as occasional events on campus or online. If you are interested in joining us, please contact Mark Alznauer.
