The Ohio State University

The HxA Chapter at The Ohio State University is committed to principles of open inquiry, viewpoint diversity, and constructive disagreement in the service of academic activity oriented toward truth.
The HxA Chapter at OSU holds that the purpose of higher education is the pursuit of truth through high-quality scholarship and instruction. That purpose is best served by an institutional culture committed to open inquiry, viewpoint diversity, and constructive disagreement. These commitments cannot be taken for granted but must be actively cultivated and defended. Our chapter establishes a supportive community of faculty, staff, and students who share these commitments. We host speakers and events that model HxA principles, and we work as constructive partners with the university on policies and practices that support them.
