Western Michigan
University
Western Michigan University's Campus Community is committed to improving research and education by promoting the ideals of viewpoint diversity, open inquiry, and constructive disagreement.
Our goals include increasing staff and faculty engagement and support to help accelerate our ambition to continue to promote these ideals. Currently, we are ranked 21st in the nation for student free speech and open inquiry by FIRE – The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression.
In the coming months, we will be sharing more information with WMU HxA members about classroom resources and tools, speakers, and other ways to come together to promote the ideals of viewpoint diversity, open inquiry, and constructive disagreement on campus. We look forward to growing and advancing these efforts together for the betterment of WMU!
