Fellowships and Assistantships in a Heterodox Education Policy PhD program with a 100% placement rate
Fellowships and assistantships available for fall 2026 at the University of Arkansas’s 5th ranked, highly heterodox Education Policy Ph.D. program, applications open through January 10th. Our faculty and graduate students are both highly accomplished and ideologically diverse. Top fellowships are around $40,000 annually plus tuition and subsidized health insurance. Our Ph.D. program has an 80% completion rate and 100% placement rate. Many of our graduates find jobs in academia, a mix of research and regular faculty lines at Johns Hopkins, Stanford, Harvard, NC State, Buckingham University, Kennesaw State, Texas A & M, Arkansas, Missouri, St. Louis University, Florida State, and Ohio State. Others land at foundations like Arnold and Walton, government (Director of the National Center for Education Statistics, congressional staffs), think tanks (AEI, Cato, EdChoice), and research firms. Through our research and our alumni, we are helping change education policy.
