How Sensitivity Manifests in the Publishing Industry with Adam Szetela

In this event, Dr. Adam Szetela (Ph.D., Department of Literatures, Cornell University) will discuss his new book entitled, "That Book Is Dangerous! How Moral Panic, Social Media, and the Culture Wars Are Remaking Publishing." Dr. Szetela's work explores the interplay between the identity of writers, the politics of publishing, and the social psychology of group norms, conformity, and social pressure. This includes case studies of cancelled publications as well as scientific evidence on public opinion.
