This session discussed the ideas, actions, and policies of health care professionals and health professions education that are contributing to a disturbing paradigm shift; less patient-centered care and more division.
The session was led by Jonathan Thigpen, an associate professor and the Assistant Dean for Curricular Innovation and Professional Development at the Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy. After obtaining his Pharm.D., he completed two postdoctoral fellowships prior to entering academia full time. He is passionate about heterodoxy and currently serves as the community moderator for HxA’s Health Professions Education Community.
