On October 7, 2026, the Heterodox Academy/Civic Renaissance Campus Community at Cornell University will screen the film: October 7: Bearing Witness to the Massacre. Justin Kron, the producer and creator will be there to answer questions.

October 7: Bearing Witness to the Massacre is a feature documentary film on the rise of Hamas in Gaza and the horrific events of October 7, 2023 that shook the world. Todd Morehead, an American Christian, visits Israel to bear witness to the attrocities of October 7, and to explore the background and motivations of those who perpetrated the deadliest day in Jewish history since the Holocaust.

This feature documentary film provides viewers with the most comprehensive overview to date of the history of Gaza prior to October 7, 2023 through the voices of some of Israel’s most distinguished educators – Daniel Gordis, Einat Wilf, Ronen Bergman, and Miri Eisen. It also explores the ideological roots and declared aspirations of Hamas and radical Islamists, and shows the traumatic events of October 7 through the stories of survivors, first responders, a former hostage, and the chilling video footage taken by the terrorists themselves.

Due to some of the graphic content, this film is recommended for mature audiences only.

This free event is open to the public. Please RSVP in advance.
