What is the relationship between ideas and identity? How is our self-image informed by those around us? Can we promote group identity without undermining individualism?

Join undergrad affiliates Miley Duong, Noah Ritter, and Maizy Thorvaldson as they lead a conversation exploring these topics using Karl Marx’s “On the Jewish Question” and John Stuart Mill’s “On Liberty” as references. No prior experience with these authors is required.
