Undergraduate Student Affiliate Summer Workshop: OpenMind
Undergraduate student affiliates were invited to participate in an interactive workshop this summer using OpenMind, a platform designed to distill rigorous behavioral science research into engaging, practical, and actionable insights. Students learned methods to think more rationally, cultivate intellectual humility, and master having difficult conversations across lines of difference. The program consisted of eight lessons, each with new concepts and skills, that students completed individually and on their own time. Each week, after completing the lessons, students were paired up for online peer-to-peer conversations where they discussed what they learned in more depth and practiced applying the skills they learned.
The workshop ran for four weeks, starting the week of July 12 and ending the week of August 2. Students were expected to dedicate roughly two hours per week to the online lessons and conversations.
Please note that this workshop was only available to HxA undergraduate student affiliates. To save a spot in this workshop, we asked that student affiliates complete the brief registration form linked below by Friday, June 25.
