Virtual Book Club: The Problem with Everything, by Meghan Daum

May 21, 1-2pm EDT

HxA’ s virtual book club is an opportunity to join fellow HxA members to analyze, question, and discuss important and relevant books, while making connections with other members from around the world. Involvement in the book club is open exclusively to HxA members.

At our next meeting, we’ll be discussing The Problem with Everything: My Journey Through the New Culture Wars, by Meghan Daum. The book delves into the current political and cultural landscape as the author shares her personal experiences and thoughts on topics such as identity politics, gender, and generational divides. Attendees will read the book and submit questions in advance and come together in an online video meeting for the discussion.

These meetings serve as springboards for continued conversation and community-building. Following the discussions, HxA will publish book discussion guides on our website to be accessible to all for future use.

Virtual Book Club meetings are intentionally capped at a small size to promote an environment where all in attendance can comfortably speak their minds and analyze, question, and discuss the book at hand.

A few spots remain and we will also be maintaining a running waitlist. If you’re interested in joining, please email Daniel at events@heterodoxacademy.org.

Members: Information on this and future book clubs is sent via the weekly Bulletin. Email events@heterodoxacademy.org to learn more and ensure your contact info is up to date.

Not a member and wondering how you can have enriching discussions about the state of the academy with fellow students, educators, administrators, and curious minds around the world? Learn more here.
