Protect open inquiry at universities for generations to come with a planned gift.

The founders of Heterodox Academy (HxA), Jonathan Haidt, Chris Martin, and Nicholas Quinn Rosenkranz, left a profound legacy when they launched a membership organization for academic professionals to address the issue of ideological conformity and self-censorship in higher education.

By joining the Heterodox Legacy Society with a gift through your will or estate, you will be ensuring the continuation of our founders’ mission of protecting open inquiry, viewpoint diversity, and constructive disagreement at colleges and universities for generations to come.

The Heterodox Legacy Society honors those who have informed us that they have included HxA in their estate plans.

Planned gifts to HxA may include:

  • Leaving a simple bequest in your will, achievable by inserting the following language into your will: “I give and bequeath the sum of dollars US ($) or % of the residue of my estate to Heterodox Academy (EIN: 82-2903153), New York, NY.”

  • Naming Heterodox Academy as a beneficiary of your insurance policy or retirement plan.

To make a planned gift, please contact your attorney or retirement or insurance plan administrator and provide them with the following information:

Legal Name: Heterodox Academy
Address: 82 Nassau St #646, New York, NY 10038
Employer Identification Number (EIN): 82-2903153

You can let us know that you have included HxA in your estate plans by contacting Malik Peacock at 410-258-6558 or peacock@heterodoxacademy.org. If you or your financial advisor have any questions or need additional information, please reach out to Malik.

Please note that the information on this site is not intended to provide legal or tax advice. Prospective donors should consult with their own tax or legal advisors prior to making a planned gift.
