Graduate Affiliate Conversation: The Use of Strategic Language in Society

On October 28th, 2020 from 5-6pm Eastern, Erec Smith, HxA Member and Associate Professor of Rhetoric at York College of Pennsylvania, led this discussion to explore and analyze the current preferred discourses around contemporary social justice, including the narratives embraced by opposing groups. Ideally, we can begin to imagine alternative directions toward civil and generative discourse while remaining dedicated to social justice initiatives.
